ERallye Montecarlo was the first of the World Rallye Championship, and it showed the new cars and drivers. It was the last season for SEAT Team and the first for Peugeot with 206 WRC.

This rallye is known for the snow and the frozen roads, where drivers have to show all their driver experience. Special as "Coll del Turini" were in this rallye edition.
